CONVEYOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

 

Davis Industrial is seeking hard working Experienced Conveyor Service Technicians to join our Tampa and Miami Florida Teams. Join the team of the fastest growing conveyor services company in Florida! Position Detail:

This position requires a commitment to safety as our number one priority, and a strong dedication to producing quality work.

Belt Splicing: Install, splice (mechanical and vulcanize) and repair conveyor belts at customer’s locations throughout the Southeast.

Mechanical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys and other material handling components on customer’s locations and in our service center.

It may be necessary at times to lead a crew of technicians to successfully complete a job as well as to mentor lower level technicians as they progress.

Conduct belt audits and perform pulley lagging as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with vulcanized splicing of conveyor belt
  • High Mechanical Aptitude, basic math skills and work with a tape measure.
  • Able to operate aerial lifts and forklifts
  • Able to lift 75-100 pounds frequently
  • Able to work varying work schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift, weekend and holidays
  • Able to work at heights, in confined spaces and hazardous areas
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with clean MVR Report – CDL a Bonus!
  • Bilingual a plus!

FIELD FOREMAN

Personal Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of urgency
  • Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to hold a TWIC
  • Able to cover emergency calls 24/7
  • Own hand tools
  • Able to lift 75lbs or more repeatedly
  • Bilingual & CDL a plus

Skills:

  • Able to weld in all methods, positions and environments (including heights and confined spaces)
  • Able to fabricate and layout projects from prints
  • Able to rebuild like in kind items from sight
  • Able to lead a team of 3-4 men through project completion
  • Possess rigging and signaling skills

  • Experience with bearings, gear reducers and conveyors a plus
  • Satisfactory welding and fitting test required

You must be willing to be on call 24/7 for emergencies. There will be little to no traveling out of town for over 1 week.

Welder Fabricator

Position Details:

Position Title: Customer Service – Inside Sales Rep – Operations Coordinator

Vision for Success:

The customer service / inside sales associate provides a critical role in customer interface and is part of a team responsible for providing a variety of services, solutions, technical support, and information in a manner that builds trust, confidence, and long term business. A Davis Industrial customer service / inside sales rep should always act in the best interest of the customer, applying sound ethics and a service-minded orientation.

This position is the primary internal customer contact point for service and information regarding products, prices, availability, and product uses. This position provides technical support for customers, including but not limited to, preparing quotations, promoting solutions and services, processing orders, arranging deliveries & services, inventory control, invoicing, and processing product returns. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that all inquiries are addressed completely and all transactions necessary to support the quote and order fulfillment process meet customer expectations. While the majority of customer interactions will take place over the telephone or via email, this is not a call center environment, rather, a complete industrial solutions center. The average day will be split between general administrative functions, inventory control in the warehouse, and most importantly customer service.

Administratively, this position is responsible for initiating and coordinating various organizational duties within the company. Responsibilities may include making meeting arrangements, preparing reports, and maintaining inventory of products for resale and internal use. From an inside sales and marketing aspect, this position includes responsibilities to administer a contact management database and promotion of solutions and services.

The role calls for unfailing customer orientation, verbal fluency in English (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus), strong attention to detail, precise written communication in English, teamwork and collaboration within all levels of management and staff, a high regard for ethics, and strong organizational awareness.

The candidate who earns this position will provide customer service and sales support to one of the strongest Industrial Services companies in the South East. Expectations:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university- preferred, related experience and/or training with a proven track record of success, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; strong mechanical aptitude and a focus on continuous learning.

LANGUAGE SKILLS ENGLISH & SPANISH: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; must have the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized or non-standard situations. Able to prioritize tasks, carryout daily duties with careful attention to detail and organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet browser software; inventory management software; order processing systems; word processing and spreadsheet software; and contact management software. Microsoft Office, Salesforce and QuickBooks Enterprise Experience, preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Affirmation & Adherence to a Non-Competition / Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Successful completion of Predictive Index, background check, drug screen, and clean MVR.
